Moving and powerful presentation of this opera. It's very dark, very sad, very Italian, and very Verdi. Singing outstanding; acting good, especially Domingo who truly fits the role of the elderly and wise Boccanegra.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

A marvelous livecast featuring two of America's leading opera singers: Thomas Hampson and Rene Fleming. The entire presentation is a joy to both eye and ear, even the backstage views of stage hands scurrying to change sets. The Met gets a round of applause for mounting this production and making it available via HD Live.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
