Loved the actors, loved the way it was played and shot. What it lacked was suspense. You ended up more preoccupied with wanting the 'bully' to get it, than worrying about her next unsuspecting victim. This is not a gore fest. More the story of an innocent boy being groomed as a vampire's famiar.
The movie was cute, and funny. The plot was easy for kids to follow . Loved the Cameos.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I took my 6, and 7 year old girls to see it. It was the first 3D movie they had ever seen, so I'm sure they will never forget it! The graphics were great (esp. in 3D) the characters seemed to be easy for kids to relate to. I laughed about as much as they did, so it was fun to watch!
I was amazed at the turnout to this, my first public RHPS viewing. Even though the movie was released over three decades ago, the entire theater rocked! a great time was had by all. A must see. Don't forget your props! Brilliant concept in movie entertainment, you actually want to view this movie at the theater, again and again. it's not the same just watching at home on dvd. if you're a 'virgin' like I was, you owe it to yourself to experiance it! Thanks to my six new gal-pals from north of the lake for making my experiance such a positive one too! you ladies rock! -muwah!
