Quiet, thoutful movie about life's choices

We were moved by this quiet, thoughtful movie about life's choices and consequenses. Duvall is outstanding as the "hermit" of forty years. There is a depth of feeling that one does not find in many of the movies being made today. The supporting cast is well worth the investment in being moved by this movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Disquieting Movie

We saw this, knowing that Mirren and Pesci would be good and they didn't disappoint. BUT-there's something about this film that doesn't quite match up. It almost seemed as if it tried too hard and didn't quite get where it wanted to go. We would go anywhere to see Mirren and, as usual, she carried the film. We aren't sure--it made us talk, but...
Yes, I recommend this movie.

You will either love or hate this one. We loved it! My wife does not laugh our loud--she did! I don't wet my pants--I didn't, but not because of the movie, I didn't want to embarrass myself. It is a truly fun movie, done well. Enjoy it!!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Bridges give a sterling performance as every broken down country has-been. His pain and self-loathing are evident from the start. We enjoyed the soundtrack as well as the intense performance. Unless you can't stand country music, the movie is a well done slice of life. Duvall and Farrell show they are more than "just" actors.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Did you hear about the predictable?

If my friend were looking for a predictable, albeit mildly amusing, way to spend almost two hours, I would recommend this film. My wife and I enjoyed the popcorn and the film in that order. Hugh Grant is beginning to wear thin in this self-deprecating role, but still carries it off. Sara Jessica Parker is all "New York", judge that anyway you want.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

My wife and I like George Clooney, but this snoozer belongs on the shelf. We could not understand the buzzzzz (oops, still snoozing!)

Both my wife and I enjoyed this one. Bullock and Reynolds are believable in their roles as Boss and Secretary--not what you would think. The supporting characters don't just support, they help to make the movie a memorable experience. Best Bullock movie since ??? We urge you to enjoy the movie with someone you care about.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
