As a fan of the directors previous work, I was extremely disappointed with this movie. It was extremely predicable and the characters were flat and stereotypical. This movie lacked the creative vision I have come to expect from Luhrmann. I guess he was going for a classic Hollywood epic.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
