FAN-TAS-TIC MOVIE! Frank Langella gives an oscar winning performance. Michael Sheen is extraordinary!!! This movie is a must see. Wihness two of today's most talented actors in a battle of wits and cunning. This movie has "OSCAR WINNER" written all over it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Ron Howard has directed another excellent film. Great to see a big budget Hollywood film that really works. Excellent, sets, costumes, music, writing and editing. The dance scenes were especially well filmed and edited. Cate Blanchett is a beautful dancer (she really did 95% of the dancing herself.) As for the acting, Brad, Cate, and the cast gave wonderful performances! Loved the comic relief using old film footage. My only criticism is the length of the film - way too long. The first half of the film needed cutting. I can use "Suspended Belief" for a while, but it was more than an hour + before Brad became identifyable. Other than this, a haunting film. I woke up thinking about it the next day. Go see it!.

Extremely overrated. Hoffman, Amy Adams, and Viola Davis gave very good performances, but I expected a lot more from Meryl Streep. What was that weird accent she used? Film was dull and predictable and a little strange. Not even worth watching on DVD....... Love Phillip Seymour Hoffman, but even he couldn't save this one.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
