Jeff Bridges was believable and I felt all his angst, joys and sorrows throughout the movie. I originally thought that Maggie Gyllenhaal was miscast but I was wrong. The chemistry between her & Bridges was terrific. Gyllenhaal was also quite believable as a mother. The biggest surprise was the singing by Jeff Bridges & Colin Farrell; WOW!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
