I took my 13 yr old daughter and her friends from the barn to see this movie and they loved it! I loved it as well - a great story, exciting moments, sad moments, but not overly sappy. Diane Lane is stupendous. I don't ride but appreciate horses for their intelect and beauty and this movie showcases both. Great cinematography!!!! Would see it over and over again.
I thought this movie was the worst movie I'd seen in quite some time! The music was overbearing and instead of creating suspense it detracted from it. Skip it entirely and save the $10!
No, I do not recommend this movie.

This is a different movie and after it was over I really needed to think about whether I liked it. The book was "the" book in our house and I wondered how it would be treated. I enjoyed the outcome! The "wild things" were interestingly portrayed and the turns in the story were touching, sad, but hopeful. I would not recommend this movie for small children - it's far from action packed. It's a very thoughtful adaptation of a classic book . . . ..
I took my 11 yr old daughter and her friend and they found it hilarious! I found it entertaining and was happy with the fact we could enjoy it together without any uncomfortable moments. Great family night movie!
If you don't like Adam Sandler, do not see this movie. It has some very funny moments, but is not nearly as entertaining as Happy Gilmore or Billy Madison.
