Not for the un-initiated. Visuals and cinematography are very good and there is more character focus than in other HPs. However, this movie does not make even a pretense at a stand alone plot, nor has the story on screen so far ,evolved the personalities enough to support a largely character based movie.
Malfoy's conflict was not aided by the long lingering shots, needed more content. Ginny isnt a strong enough character to be HP's love interest and there was no underlying justification for the change to the Hermione/Ron relationship.
It was better in some ways to previous HP movies but really only worked as a transition to the next 2 films
No, I do not recommend this movie.
