This movie didn't stray much from the formula. Overall, the special effects were the only thing that really made this worth seeing, otherwise it would literally be no different than your typical Sci-Fi channel end-of-the-world movie. The first half was exciting and great to look at, and the second half was lackluster and disappointing. My main complaint is that they went weak on the ending. All that being said, I would recommend it, because the special effects were just that good.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
