Will Smith is a tour de force. Even from the smallest of gestures, he has tremendous acting talent. Although the movie started off a tad bit disjointed, it all came together to provide a very thought provoking cinematic experience. My only criticism was the inclusion of the supposed battered woman recipient in the story line. I walked away thinking that included with her 'gift' of his home, should have been a prohibition that she NOT move the batterer in there with her and her kids. One got the feeling that it wasn't going to change her life, only her locale. But, on the whole, I thought it was a very good movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
