The best fantacy film ever. Special effects are stunning, the ideas and concepts highly original and the pace is brisk.
As original and fantastic as this film was, the story line was not. Once again commerce takes it on the chin as the root of all evil and destroyer of aboriginal populations. While there is undoubtedly truth in this premise, it just struck me as being the one part of this movie that was distinctly un-original.
Because the story line is such an old one, we knew what was going to happen long before it occurred. Despite that fact, the journey was still fascinating and full of new delights in every scene.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
