I have seen all three Toy Story movies, and I am always a little worried that when they make a sequel to a great movie, the sequel is not going to measure up to the original. Toy Story 3 not only adds up to the original, in some ways it surpasses it. It was funny, heart warming, suspenseful, and a tear jerker all at the same time. I love those toys and the way each has their own personality and story to tell, but the treasure is in the way it all works together to make them all a family. I cannot tell you how good this movie is. You just have to see it. You will be glad you did.
As a LONG time Star Trek fan, I have seen all the original series, plus all the spinoffs, plus all the previous movies. I did not go into this movie with a lot of hope that it would be very good. I was amazed - it was not good, it was GREAT. I loved it and loved the interaction of the characters. Of course, only a Trekkie would understand and appreciate some of the fine points, but anyone would enjoy this movie. The story was interesting, the character development was good, the special effects were terrific. All in all, I cannot say enough good things about this movie. I especially liked the way Chris Pine played the part of Kirk. It's a fun and entertaining movie. Don't miss it.
I'm not a kid and I don't have kids, but my husband thought this might be a fun movie to see, so we went to see it. I thought it was very entertaining and well done. Of course the story was predictable, but that is not what made the movie fun. What made it fun was the dialogue and interaction between the characters. Even the minor characters, like the pigeons, had some great lines. It was the kind of movie that lets you walk out of the theater feeling good about life and chuckling about some of the lines. It's the kind of movie that takes you out of the real world for a little while and lets you remember what it is like to play and romp on a warm spring day. It makes you feel like a kid again - and that ain't bad!
