Light and Fluffy

The comments on the American way of life were right on but the rest was light and fluffy. Not much substance but nice to look at. Acting was good and production quality was very good. See it but don't expect too much.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Too Late, The Damage has been Done

Shows the real war crimes in Iraq when Bush, Cheeney, et. al. lied the USA into this war for oil and revenge. Too bad it did not come out in 2003. The real war criminals are exposed but they are now out of office and the public is otherwise distracted.
Go see it in case you need a reminder how we were tricked into war.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The FX are outstanding combined with the 3D. Not gimmicky but part of the plot and presentation. The plot has been done before but never like this. Go see Avatar now!

Michael Moore Challenges Us

Michael Moore lays out his thesis that Capitalism as it has evolved over the past 30 years is the common enemy of 99% of the American people. He challenges us to take action now to change the system before it is too late. The argument is irrefutable and cogent, the time to act is now. Let's see what the brain dead America public does next.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

A sifi flick that makes you think. This may be a turn off for some, but I found D9 very thought provoking and disturbing. Humans don't seem to be able to get anything right. The way the aliens are treated is reminiscent of apartheid and a thorough condemnation of that discredited system. More than that, it's an indictment of stupidity and greed. A real tour de force for Sharlto Copley and Neill Blomkamp. See this movie! I'm looking forward to the return of the mothership.

Reality of War

Hard hitting character study and a good look at the reality on the ground in Iraq. There can be no doubt that returning troops must be tested by the VA for PTSD and other battle-field related problems. Everyone should see this movie!

They keep dragging the terminator franchise on and on without improvement. The story line has been tapped out and so has this movie. Very slow and confused plot.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Excellent Character Study

I remember the times and the issues. This is an outstanding portrayal of a very brave man, too many years ahead of his time. Work needs to be done to tear down this last wall of discrimination and to silence the hate mongers. Great job by Sean Penn.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Powerful, Engrossing

Frost/Nixon is a powerful, engrossing study of the arrogance and delusion of Richard Nixon as revealed in the Nixon Frost interviews. Frank Langella deserves an Oscar for his portrayal of Nixon, Michael Sheen is an excellent foil for Langella's Nixon. I lived through this period and remember this incident. The movie is genuine and not contrived. Go see it!
