This was an awesome movie-going experience. The special effects and sound were beyond compare. The acting was great, and they really captured the roles of the old crew very well. And even the gimmicks worked well. Thanks to the "elder" Spock for putting in an appearance--although he can't really pull off being a galactic guru/Master of Reality anymore. I think they really took Star Trek "where no movie has gone before." I don't think they can do much more with it after this one--but they did a fantastic job! Thank you, Gene Rodenberry.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
