Sadly, Doesn't Measure Up

Been a fan of the Terminator franchise for years so naturally I was looking forward to this movie for some time. However the end result left me disappointed. There needs to be so much more to a movie, even glitzy summer blockbusters, than just explosions and eye candy. It must have a soul and this comes up lacking even a mechanical one. Many recent movies lack solid editing or “flow” and so did this one. It felt choppy, fractured, and at times hard to follow. I often felt there were scenes missing or truncated and not all of the visual effects worked. If you were a fan of the original and T2, don’t go see this movie expecting past glory. It’s long gone. Save your money and see Star Trek instead.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
