Very dark movie and not meant for little ones...my 7 year old got a bit scared a few times. Personally I didn't think this movie lived up to the hype and while it was worth seeing I wasn't blown away. It's like watching the movie Rocky only Rocky gets beat up throughout the movie and never wins. It may be close to the book but both me and my 16 year old daughter left the theatre disappointed and we loved the rest of the series.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
