Could not follow the dialogue due to the odd accents used by 2 main characters. Plot made no sense whatsoever. Ending seems to be inspired by the Wicker Man, but clearly not in the same league with that horror classic.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

The 3D effect is very worthwhile, and you do feel like you are in the cave. The cave environment is fascinating. I don't mind the talking head experts or the score, unlike other reviewers. The problem here is the film is repetitious. Herzog only has 30 minutes of real content to show you, but he needs to stretch it into a long movie. And that gets boring quickly. I fell asleep twice. A postscript about albino alligators at the end is pointless but amusing; it has nothing to do with the cave. Again, straining to fill up screen time.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Not Scary but Wonderfully Silly

"House" is a wonderfully silly low budget movie from 1974. It is very funny, although it is not scary. any gore or violence is so cartoonish it can't scare, shock or disturb a viewer much, but it will make you giggle. It gets quite psychedelic at points, so it is visually very interesting from that perspective. The plot is a bit shaky in terms of coherence, but you won't really care much. The main characters are cute Japanese girls who don't seem like professional actors.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
