I thoroughly enjoyed this movie-gorgeous scenery, supurb special effects and, actually this time, good adaptation (probably helped along by making this final book into two movies!). The focus was on the lead three-as it should be. And, the viewer was totally immersed in the darkness that they (and all of their kind) are facing...and by the end of this 1st part...the viewer knows it will be even worse.
I definitely think that this movie was made for those of us that are "invested" in the books and movies-BUT-it is so well made, that most anyone would enjoy it.
**As a parent, I would not recommend allowing 10 yr olds or younger "tagging along" unless you are comfortable with allowing them to see the relatively
frightening scenes.
