Had high hopes for Tower Heist. Seemed to have a good plot and cast, but it didn't deliver. It took a long time to get off the ground and then the story line became farfetched. One episode of Modern Family has more laughs in 30 min. than Tower Heist has in 1 hr. and 44 min. Save your money.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Laugh Out Loud Funny!

If you need a break from your serious, hectic, stress filled life, go see Death at a Funeral! This movie will have you smiling and laughing from start to finish. The casting was excellent! The actors worked well together as an ensemble; no one tried to steal the spotlight, and that's what made the movie work so well. It is rated R, so if you're strictly opposed to cursing and some crude humor, it may not be the movie for you. Having said that, I found it rather tame in comparison to other comedies I've seen with that rating. If that doesn't bother you, go for it and don't wait for it to come out on DVD. In the theatre, (which was packed when I saw it) the audiences' laughter and reactions fed off of each other and the fun multiplied. Go and have yourself a laugh, you deserve it!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
