I feared that the movie version would ruin the vivid imagery of the novel (like some Harry Potter films) in their lack of film time, but this movie was amazing. The director did a wonderful job in her choice of scenes to include, and the action and special effects were realistic. Excluding myself, my whole group did not read the book and were not very interested in the idea of the movie at first. But they all loved the movie and want to watch it again. My mom who is 50 and skeptical about vampire love stories also found herself a new fan of Twilight after the movie ended. It left her saying, "It's over already?!" And please note that it is a 2 hour movie xD.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
