Unlike most people I went in the theater knowing that it would be different from the book. I have read reviews saying that it's only a good movie if you've read the books. I took three people with me that had never read the books and they loved it as much as I did. It was a great movie! There was only one thing that bothered me: Billy was suppose to sell his truck because he could no longer drive but the movie has two scenes that show him driving with Jacob in the passenger seat. Other than that one part it was very close to the book and an awesome movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
