A Positive Interpretation of the Book

I consider a movie that is based on a book to be an interpretation, not a perfect adaptation. With this as my guide, I felt that the movie Twilight did a great job capturning the essence of the novel on screen. All the actors really brought the characters from the book to life. In particular, I loved the Cullens and wished they had played a bigger role! I loved the scenes with Edward and Bella and wished for more romantic build-up - it seemed as if they fell in love in a few days. They needed to develop their love story more deeply, which is what made the book shine. But with 500 pages of material to cover, they could hardly show everything! Overall, I was very pleased and can't wait to see it again and buy it on DVD!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
