I have read the series, and truly enjoyed the books. I was expecting to be disappointed by the movie, but going in with such low expectations actually allowed me to truly enjoy it. I thought the actors were quite good, but it was obviously a low-budget film. My husband, who has not read the books, was not such a fan. I believe that was because, without knowing Bella's thoughts as you did the in the book, a lot was lost in translation. I hope the smashing financial success means that "New Moon" will have a much higher budget and a better opportunity to show just why so many people love the books.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
