I loved all four books, but this movie just didn't cut it. The casting was great - all the characters matched the book perfectly!! But the movie didn't flow well, there were choppy parts, and if I had seen the movie first, I don't think I would have read the book. It was still entertaining, but mostly because I'd read the book. If you haven't read the book, read it first - you'll enjoy the movie much more.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
