Twilight movie anemic

Being a big fan of the Twilight books, I was prepared to love the movie. I did not. The director and/or screenwriter needed to focus less on action-packed moments and more on character development. Sticking closer to Meyer's plot might have helped. It was difficult, in the movie, to see why Bella and Edward's relationship was anything more than physical attraction. It was also disappointing to see so little of the other Cullen characters, especially Alice. Still, I appreciated some of the humorous moments, such as the Cullen family fixing a meal for Bella. And I know they didn't exactly have a Harry Potter budget. Maybe, NEW MOON will be better.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
