Disappointment

After waiting with anticipation, I was dissappointed. The point of Meyers books was to give the mythical world of vampires a fresh view. She did so by breaking old myth with new myth and introducing new out-of-the-norm vampire behavior. With a wealth of material to work with, the inadequate screenwriter and director wasted an hour on drooling-over-you shots instead of hitting us with the sexual tension, jealously, and danger Meyers interwove between her characters. This movie could have been spectacular. With new and interesting material to chose from they blew it. I left feeling disconnected from the characters, and like half the real story was missing
Yes, I recommend this movie.
