I give this movie 4 stars only because I love the books and this movie went with my love of them. I did however have some reservations about the screenplay. I felt the movie was "dumbed" down for its target audience. I think the writers need to give teenagers a little more credit than that. If they can understand the book and get the complexities in that, than a more complex screenplay can work. The book are more intimately written and the connections between characters more interwoven than the movie included. I do get the time contraints a movie has to endure but I felt like more of this could have been included. All in all I did really enjoy the movie and plan on buying it on DVD when it comes out.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
