First time Twilight fan

I took my 15 year old daughter to see this along with several of my friends that are obsessed with the Twilight series. I had not read the book and was really not interested. I am a huge reader but the story just did not seem like my thing. So, I saw the movie as a complete "Twilight Virgin" and I loved it! I disagree with an earlier reviewer suggesting that you will not "get" the movie if you have not read the book. The movie was well done and it was no problem following along. I am sure the books, like all books, provide great character development and deep story lines, but the movie stands on its own quite well!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
