I hate to say it, as much as I tried to like it, I can't say I enjoyed this movie. As a huge fan of the books I'd say this is the worst portrayal of a book since the Counte of Monte Cristo. The acting was awkward, they pushed the story along too quickly, the soundtrack, while great, didn't seem to fit the scene, the scenes with Bella and Edward together were cheesey at best, and the dialogue was...well...awkward. I like how they tried to use direct quotations in from the book but the way they forced them in was...well you know. Positives: The soundtrack is excellent and some characters did fit very well with my imagined vision of them (Alice, Charlie, Jasper oddly enough). Bottom line, ready the book. It’s cheaper and much more rewarding.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
