I never expect the film version of any book to be as good as the book, and this was no exception. I did like that, for the most part, the movie stayed true to the book. I also liked the cinematography. What I didn't like was the acting, or lack thereof. I especially did not care for the actress playing Bella at all. I wanted to really see her feelings for Edward, but I don't even remember seeing her smile once. She was trying so hard to be brooding and/or intense that when it came time for her to say to herself that she was unconditionally in love with Edward, I didn't believe it. I enjoyed the books, so I will most likely see whatever movies they make, but I won't love them!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
