High school plays have better acting and effects and dialogue than this sad, sad teen craze. The only fans the series has are screaming 12 year old girls who have fallen into the same obsessed mindset that the author herself has. The movie, as well as the fans, is pathetic.
I realize that as a movie, it's supposed to be able to stand on it's own... but this does not. There are elements that weren't explained that left my friend who hadn't read the book wondering and asking me all sorts of questions. The acting was just plain horrible. They were obviously picked on looks alone and talent was not required. I laughed and cringed the entire movie. It was a fun experience, going to a midnight movie and making fun of it the whole time, but it wasn't a good movie.
