JJ Abrams really knows how to put on a show. I've been a Trek fan my whole life and all the elements were there. Abrams and company took the entire mythology of an iconic series and not only inserted it into a fantastic framework, but they created an entirely new and fresh perspective. The only thing I could even begin to criticize is the ad campaign. "This isn't your father's Star Trek" goes without saying. You don't need to remind us of this. Since all that's over, there's nothing bad at all to report about this film. It was definitely Spock's movie, but Kirk gave it his all. What a great way to reignite love for one of the greatest Science Fiction works of our time!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
