Exactly what the audience wanted

There are movies which are classics that will transcend the years and be remembered as masterpieces of cinematic achievement. This is not one. This movie was, however, *exactly* what I wanted from a movie titled "Ninja Assassin" and put together by the Wachowski brothers (of "Matrix" fame).
There were not a lot of slow, meaningful interludes with heartfelt dialog. Yes, there was a bit of a story, and not that bad of one for a ninja movie I suppose. The movie spent its time however with throwing stars, swords, and kusarigama. The fight scenes were absolutely amazing. At one point I found myself aware that I was waiting for an extended fight to finish so that I could breathe normally again.
I would definitely recommend it to genre fans.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
