I'd never heard of the comic book Thor before but like the Comic heroes. My daughter took me for Mother's Day. We enjoyed the movie but thought the plot was kinda light. Good movie overall. Set you up for a sequel. Would watch it again. Amazing special effects and scenery detail.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
