READ THE BOOK BEFORE SEEING THE MOVIE.
Okay, so the movies wasn't amazing but if you haven't read the book, I'd doubt seriously that you'd know what was happening. There were so many plot jumps and the movie really lost the sense of wonder and movement of the plot line.
Still, if you've read the book, you'll appreciate the characters and it's cool to see them in motion, instead of just in your head.
I'm just a bit partial to the movie because I loved the books so much...any fan I think could agree. A little awkward but still enjoyable...to a point.
