I am a big Star Trek fan so I have to admit that I was very apprehensive about seeing this movie. I sat through a lot of the movie thinking to myself, 'that's not supposed to happen.' Then I had to remind myself that JJ Abrams was creating an alternate universe. Although I will say that this was a well cast, well acted and written movie I still struggle with the fact that this erases just about everything that has been done before with regards to Star Trek. The different series and movies might as well not count anymore. That said, if you have never watched any Star Trek or never really got into it this movie was great. For those of us who still love the old shows and movies...I don't know. I'll have to think about it....
Yes, I recommend this movie.
