The movie was horrible, the acting and editing was terrible. I have read all of the books and the first book twice and even i had trouble following the plot of the movie.
The theater was laughing at moments that weren't even meant to be funny in the slightest. This was mostly caused by the bad acting and terrible editing. There were virtually no establishing shots to speak of and the dialog was ridiculous.
The only reason i would recommend this movie to a friend is because it was so bad it was funny, almost similar to "not another teen movie" the acting is comparable.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
