I saw this in a Real 3D Theater which is a MUST. This is the most visually stunning movie you will watch. James Cameron and his team have pulled out all the technical stops. If you are familiar with his work you will know the story is always secondary to the technical backdrop of the picture you are watching. What makes this 2hr and 40min simple story bearable is the living environment that surrounds you. This drives this movie more than anything else. James Cameron delivers a modern technical epic flawlessly. I hope this is the beginning of a new age in cinema. It will be interesting to see how Peter Jackson, George Lucas or the Wachowski brothers respond to this new challenge.
As a prequel to the Star Trek series this is very good. In fact this is much better than the Star Wars prequel. It give depth to the characters that are central part of Star Trek while keeping the action moving along. It is rare to find a film of this length that holds your attention from the very start. A must see movie.
