Charles Dickens's story has been retold many, many times, with various interpretations ranging from grim and dark to light-hearted and slapstick. Not so with this version.
Jim Carrey is completely believable as Scrooge, and brings a depth of character to the old miser. The animation is stunning- it's worth the extra money to see this lovely film in 3-D.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
