Great, Uncomplicated Entertainment

Because of all the pre-release publicity about the special effects, I expected those to be anticlimactic. They're not. You'll be riveted to your seat. The effects and photography are stunning, raising the bar and striking fear into the hearts of animators all over the business.
The story is another story. Nothing special and completely predictable. Cardboard characters. Disappointing dialogue. The animated characters are almost more interesting than the human ones. One-dimensional, almost goofy villains. Childish characterizations.
But you weren't looking for literature, right? It's basically just great fun. An E-ticket ride. Definitely worth your time.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
