I read Twilight a 2nd time the week before the movie & I was disappointed. The director assumed everyone watching the movie had read the book, but I think that was a mistake. I think the writing & directing was shoddy. Jasper was a joke - the entire theatre exploded in laughter everytime he was on screen. Bella's stuttering and blinking were annoying. All the moony-eyed nonsense between Bella and Edward was over the top as well. I think the characters needed to be fleshed out a bit more to make the us care about them the way S. Meyer did. The director & writer took a great book & decimated it for the big screen. I realize the book wasn't written with my demographic in mind, but I loved it and should have loved the movie, too.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
