I really enjoyed the movie, the acting was very good. Where I thought the movie lacked was how much of the storyline was sacrificed for the sake of special effects. There was so much back-story, particularly the development of the storyline surrounding the developing relationship, that was lost so they could put more visual effects in. The visual effects were stunning, but I would have liked to have seen more of the interplay that was the basis of the story. It is a good movie, particularly if you've read the book. I just wish they would have fed the story more.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
