A Better Movie than a Book

I loved this movie! Saw it three times opening weekend. It’s different than the book, lots of scenes were left out and lots were made up, but the spirit of the story shined through: Edward's confusion about his desire for Bella and his ultimate surrender was spot on, believable and heart wrenching. Bella's character was played by KS as inanely as the literary Bella. KS can act one part - mumbly, sputtering, tongue clicking, eye-rolling, angst ridden teenager. No depth, but there was no depth in the book Bella, either. Charlie was perfect, he stole the show, at least whenever it was just he and Bella on screen. Jacob has to go for the next installments, too little boyish, not tall enough to be the "wolf" Jacob".
Yes, I recommend this movie.
