Robert Patinson's acting (or lack thereof) single handedly destroyed what ought to have been a good movie. Having read the book I was not only unhappy with some of the liberties the director took but also with how poorly this film was cast. Many of the actors were just downright awful, and the hopeless special effects (the "sparkling" Edward Cullen looks an awful lot like a frosted mini wheat...) were repulsive. Don't waste your time being disappointed by this. It isn't worth the price of admission.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
