I grew up with the original series as reruns on Saturday afternoons...It was cheesy, but I liked it!...I then was hooked and watched most of the other series, but lost interest with Enterprise. I saw all the movies when first released, and I had expectations as to what they should be...I was incredibly impressed with Star Trek (XI)...JJ Abrams did a spectacular job reviving the franchise. I am not hesitant to tell anyone I am a Star Trek fan...the characters were revived/revised, and yet held true to who they are...the storyline was clean, held your attention, and didn't have any pointless moments. I cannot wait for a sequel! Bravo, Mr. Abrams, Bravo!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
