The movie was fantastic. Regardless of the plot changes (obviously some things were cut out...and several things were altered and changed to make the movie understandable to non-readers and also to set up for the 7th/8th films) the effects were SPECTACULAR. There is a bit more emphasis on the love connections between characters, maybe even more than the book suggests, but that's fine and adds to the overall mood of the film. Watching this, I felt like it was one of my favorite movies of all time and I can't wait to see it again!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

While I laughed my head off and nearly peed my pants numerous times, my overall opinion of this movie is somewhat negative. Sacha Baron Cohen went too far with some of the material in this film; the disgusting flailing phallus, racist dialogue, and offensive visual images were obscene and tasteless. While it is undoubtedly hilarious, the movie was really just TOO MUCH.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
