Buffy fan

While my daughter and all her friends liked the movie, I found it a little boring. It was slow to start and finally started getting interesting the last 1/2 hour. The people who have read the books seem to like the movie more than those who haven't read the books. Maybe, I'll read the books and get another perspective. I am a big Buffy (TV) fan, and also liked "Interview with a Vampire." I felt this movie was made for the small screen, not the big screen and reminded me alot of Buffy without the humor. The filming was very artistic though and almost seemed liked a music video. We went to the midnight show and it was fun to go with a bunch of teenagers and young adults and see all their reactions.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
