This could possibly be the worst movie ever made. This movie was very predictable, not even close to funny, a bit dark and just painful to watch. We went to see it because we thought since Johnny Depp lent his voice for the main character, it couldn't be bad. WRONG!!!! I really hope that wasn't actually Clint Eastwoods voice for one of the characters. It is not appropriate for small children or anyone with a pulse. Save your money on this one, it is not even worth a $1 red box rental.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I thought this movie was very good and had a great message for kids. Being 40+, I completely enjoyed the music, and 3D is always a bonus. This is a great Will Ferrell flick and I hope he continues to do the funny stuff. I appreciate that this movie was more kid friendly, because we all love his movies.
