I've read the Twilight series religiously, and nothing can ever live up to the books, but I thought this movie came out great. Some of the plot deviated from the text, and they added and took out some things but that was to be expected. My only criticism is some of the lines that are meant to be conversational and even said in a joking manner within the book are, in the movie, said really seriously and intense which makes them sound a bit cheesy (like the whole you're my brand of heroin line). Other than that, and a few other minor annoyances, everything was spot on. I particularly enjoyed the artistic feel the movie took on, and all the human characters were great. Summit deserves a pat on the back, and I can't wait for New Moon.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
