A Perfect End

It's very difficult for me to review this film -my affection for Harry Potter and his friends goes beyond that of other fictional characters. Rowling created such a wonderful world, full of absolutely believable, realistic characters that they feel more like friends to me than anything else. The final HP book is in my top ten of all time favorite books. My expectations were extraordinarily high, to put it mildly.
Simply put, my expectations were exceeded. This movie was the perfect end to a wonderful series. It is the best movie in the series and felt more like the book than any of the previous films. There were changes, sure, but they all felt natural and true to the spirit of the characters. I will say there were a few moments that lacked the emotional punch of the book; luckily, I know the book so well I was able to bring those emotions with me.
At the end of the day, what I feel most about this movie is a sense of melancholy. I'm sad there is no more waiting, no more midnight releases to look forward to. It was a perfect end to a fantastic series and finally achieved in film what I'd been hoping to see for 10 years.

Finally, finally they got it right! Everything in this movie was exactly as I envisioned it when I read the book. Simply fantastic.
